Our Journey of Electrical Excellence
J. Wolfe Electric was started in 2013 by John Wolfe, a Windham, Maine native. The company was started as a part time business, but as our customer base kept growing, so did we. In the last 4 years we have grown significantly taking on large customers in the K-12 market, commercial market, retail market, cannibis market, and residential market. Our growth is contributed to our good easy working nature. Our desire to work with customers to meet their needs and end with a great customer relationship. Our customer relationship is first and foremost to us as without our customers we would not be successful. We are one of the only electrical contractors in the State of Maine who truly offers Fire Alarm, Security, Access control, and video surveillance systems. All designed, installed and programmed by us. Unlike many other contractors who bring in a sub contractor to design and commission the system when we install a system you stay with us even after commissioning with all service, inspection and monitoring needs.

John Wolfe Master Electrician, owner
John started his electrical journey by attending the Westbrook regional vocational center in high school. He then went on to working in the industry as a commercial and residential electricians helper. After the economy collapse of 2009, he shifted to installing, wiring, servicing and programming HVAC controls. The majority of this work was in waste water plants and the higher education market. After spending 4 years doing HVAC controls, he went to work with Norris Inc. At Norris, he held many positions from lead installer, programmer, and manager of the remote support department. He also helped install, program and service fire alarm, security, video surveillance and access control system’s in a wide range of markets. Having worked in low income housing, K-12 schools, commercial stores, restaurants, and corrections departments, John truly has some of the broadest ranging knowledge and experience in the entire electrical industry.
When not working, John is a very avid fly fisherman and can be found on a local stream or flying to some remote area to enjoy a fishing adventure.
